Mobile Legends: Game of the Year?
Sublimation is the latest and most effective method of printing as opposed to its predecessors and other emerging types of prints. The concept of sublimation printing started in the 1950s, but it took off essentially in the mid-1970s. Since then, sublimation has replaced many of the other processes of printing available.
This is mostly because dye sublimation allows the dye to become a part of the finished item, whether it is a plastic or a piece of textile. The process of sublimation uses heat to make sure that the print submerges with the fabric.

How is sublimation better than other prints?
When trying to compare different forms of printing with sublimation, we will need to look at them individually. In each of the comparisons, sublimation print stands out better than the other type of print. Let’s see why.
-
Sublimation vs Screen printing
When it comes to screen printing, you will see that you are only able to print on fabric and no other material. Sublimation allows you to print on materials such as plastic as well. Another thing that you will notice is that with screen printing, you’re only able to transfer one color at a time. Whereas, sublimation allows you to print images on a sublimation paper and then transfer the whole in thing in one go onto the material using a heat press. It’s less messy and gets the job done quicker!
-
Sublimation vs Vinyl printing
Sublimation and vinyl printing, both, require heat to transfer the images onto the fabric; however, there is a major difference when it comes to the science of each of them. When it comes to vinyl printing, once you transfer the print onto the fabric, the print merely stays atop the fabric. On the other hand, once the heat is applied to the sublimation paper over the fabric, the solid converts into gas and immerses itself into the fabric. As it cools down, the image and the fabric have submerged, leaving no additional layers on top.
Advantages and disadvantages of sublimation
The process of sublimation printing comes with some advantages and disadvantages.
-
Great color payoff
You will be able to get the exact color and print that you wished to print on the fabric. Since the image is printed and then submerged onto the fabric, there is no denying that this process will yield you a better color payoff than most other printing processes.
-
Easy to print
Sublimation is quite easy to conduct as it merely requires three basic steps. All you have to do is select the image you wish to print, place it over the fabric, and add a heat compress to transfer the image onto the fabric.
-
Durable
The process of sublimation enables the image from the sublimation paper to be submerged with the fabric. Therefore, you will not see the colors bleeding out after washes like you would if you go for silkscreen printing.
-
Expensive
The only disadvantage that sublimation print carries is that is slightly more expensive than the other methods. You will need to invest in a great quality printer to get the right results.
Overall, it can be concluded that sublimation printing is more effective than other forms of printing. It is sure to give you a better quality finish that you’ll be able to use for a long time!
